Given that every band/artist will have different requirements, Silent City Studio does not charge hourly or daily rates for professionally produced recordings. Prices are calculated on an individual basis per project as this is much fairer on the musicians rather than having a flat rate fee.
Performance is the key to a great recording. We don't want you clock watching and feeling pressured to get your tracking done. A relaxed ethic towards recording is encouraged at this studio, as it ultimately allows creativity and maintains a high standard of quality.

3 day demo recordings, (2 days tracking, 1 day mix/master) are from* a minimum charge of £225 for bands, please enquire for rates if you are a solo artist.
If you'd like to spend longer on your demo, please contact the studio to discuss your requirements and we'll sort you out with a deal.
* Demo rates are £225 to record with our Assistant Engineer. These projects will still be overseen by the head engineer. If you'd like to record your demo with the head engineer, then the 3 days will be charged at £295.
We're now offering a basic demo session recording for £120. You get one day of studio time (8 hours), in which to record your material and to have it mixed and mastered. This option is ideal for bands looking to get a rough studio recording done where sound quality is less of an issue.
If you already have some material recorded that you want mixing, then we charge a daily rate of £120. Please call for further details as discounts are available.
Mastering is not included in the fee, but will be generously discounted if required. Please enquire for details.
Standard half day (4 hour) unattended Mastering sessions are £70. Full days are not normally required, but will be charged at £120 if you choose to do so. Fee includes 2 production masters and delivery to client.
If you are interested in using the studio for very small projects, e.g. recording vocals to backing tracks, advertising voiceovers, etc, then the studio facilities, including engineer are charged at £25 per hour. After 6pm or at weekends, the fee is £30 per hour.
